Update thing

I've never really considered myself a busy person, and I still don't. But upon noticing that I at times don't have time to write down ideas for posts or rants or even work on them, it gives you that feeling I guess. I had some relatives over for a bit and now finals are starting to kick in. So that explains that mess upon my rather sudden disappearances.

On my down time however, I've been playing a bit of Beyond Good & Evil. I'm only like an hour in but so far it's managed to hook me in. It's mostly the whole photographing every creature you find it really helps with world building and so far that world has been pretty interesting to me. The story is bit overdone with the rebel faction vs the government kind of thing going on, but overall it feels like a decent Zelda game without all the explanations and text boxes. Which is funny because prior to finding out about this game I was really in the mood for Twilight Princess and this game is helping scratch that itch without it feeling too familiar and offering a brand new experience I would've otherwise completely missed.

Dark Souls 2 Review

[SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE INTENSIFIES]

Adventure. Think about that word for a moment. What does it mean to you? It's probably a lot different than what it means nowadays. Remember when the term adventure was something MORE than just a media buzzword tossed around to sell you on a game? Remember when a game wasn't so much about the marketing behind them and instead about creating an experience to satisfy the player? The industry seems to have forgotten this, but FromSoft is making sure the kindred spirit of adventure stays alive with the Souls series.

Mega Man Lives On!

Nintendo: Within a span of five seconds they have shown more love to MM fans than Capcom has in the past five years.

That's a fucking statement if I've ever seen one!

Awesomenauts (Thoughts)

After seeing this game being portrayed through the usual mediums I finally decided to have a little look. From the trial version, it's essentially you're standard MOBA akin to that of League of Legends and Dota, though with a few different stipulations. On the one hand you only have to pay 10 bucks to have everything you could ask for without delving into the "microtransaction-y" side of other MOBAs. But LoL is actually free and you only have to pay for characters and costumes if you care enough. Awesomenauts does it away with that notion entirely allowing for everything (seemingly) to be unlocked through constant play. The art direction is pretty zany I suppose, nothing too outrageous. Character's have their own unique playstyles and the like. It's pretty fun and plenty addicting and I've only gotten to play one character! The trial version also gives you a 30 minute limit for online play and you can base your judgement off of that if you're still on the fence about it especially if you're into MOBAs and whatnot. It's a MOBA with a ton of charm and plenty of replayability and it's certainly changed my perspective on what I thought about MOBA's originally.
